Fit for Business III

We have now established our third consortium of organisations who are working together to improve the effectiveness of HR under the Fit for Business theme. Our latest consortium of 10 public sector organisations commenced with an inaugural meeting on 27 February 2008. The consortium is being facilitated by David Vere and Lynne Butler and the member organisations are working to improve HR service and impact on their businesses.

This third consortium will follow the principles of the last two consortia and the focus of the work this time will be on business performance. Each organisation has generated a project to address an HR improvement theme and we are also running six seminars on common themes of interest covering issues such as employee engagement and measurement of HR impact. The consortium is being supported by CIPD, Cabinet Office, IDeA and PPMA, and will run until July 2008.

The consortium members are: British Transport Police, Cardiff Council, Child Support Agency, Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, HM Revenue and Customs, Land Registry, London Borough of Kingston, London Borough of Richmond and National Audit Office.
